Hi there! I'm Lyndsey, your friendly neighborhood, "fun auntie." I have no kiddos of my own, but I love spending time with my nephew and my friends' little ones. I am currently looking for a part-time position that would allow me to assist families in my local community with childcare needs. My caregiving experience started when I was a teen by providing weekend babysitting for children in my neighborhood. As I got older, I transitioned to being a summer nanny and personal assistant for my cousin with cerebral palsy and his younger sister. I quickly developed a passion for supporting individuals with disabilities of all ages and varying abilities, which led to having several full-time positions serving the disability community. As a result of my previous jobs, I am a trained Direct Support Professional (DSP) and have experience providing personal care (feeding, toileting, etc.), transportation, coaching, and emotional support to Read more individuals with disabilities. My work experience also includes leading park district programs for crafting, photography, bowling, and athletics as well as teaching art fundamentals. I currently work full-time as a remote consultant for a software company and have flexibility with my schedule. Ideally, I'd like to find a family that needs extra assistance during after-school or evening hours and some weekends if needed. I'd love to hear from you!
