I'm fun loving and passionate about everything I do! I've worked with children in a wide variety of settings; at a young age I began babysitting for relatives and neighborhood kids. I later went on to become a daycamp counselor, and swim instructor during summers in high school. Once in college I pursued a bachelors degree in communication disorders from NIU, and went on to work in a school setting where I also had an opportunity to coach. I later decided to pursue my masters degree (now complete) from Ball State University, which led me to my current role providing in-home therapy for individuals on the autism spectrum. Through these different roles. I've become well rounded in most aspects of childcare. From potty training to homework help and completion, the odds are I have experience with it in some capacity or another. I am a firm believer in rules and Read more routines, but an even bigger believer in running around and having fun creatively without relying on technology or a game system (though I understand everyone, even kids need down time). I have experience with and I'm comfortable with an age range from birth to teens/young adults. My income rate is "negotiable" and would depend on the level of service is needed, the number of children cared for, and the intensity of their needs. I currently work Monday through Friday during the day providing in-home therapy for children. I am primarily available in the evenings and on weekends.
