I come from a house of eight; my parents and six great children, including myself. I have taken care of my four younger sibling since I can remember (and even my older siblings at times). I have taken many classes including child development, school age child and parenting, a preschool class in high school, and many more elementary education foundation classes in college. I've spent many hours observing classrooms and creating lesson plans. I have also had experience working in three different daycares with children of ages four weeks - four years. I loved every second of it! I am most experienced with infants/toddlers but have worked with every age. My niece is seven years old and lives in the same household as I. If you ask her, I'm her "favorite auntie ever," (but so is my sister 10 minutes later). I had to put a hold on pursuing a Read more degree in elementary education. However, I would love to maintain the hands on experience I've always had with children as I count down the days to return to school.
