My mother has dedicated her entire life to childcare, which ignited a passion within me for the field. I am particularly drawn to the wit and intellectual prowess of children. Their unwavering enthusiasm for their interests is a trait that I find challenging to find in individuals of their age. Throughout my childhood, I actively participated in childcare, assisting my mother at her first daycare until the age of 11. Subsequently, I transitioned to babysitting, eventually becoming a babysitter myself at the age of 13. During the past two holidays, Thanksgiving and Christmas, I had the opportunity to work as a teacher assistant at the same daycare. I also babysat for two separate families, one for a total of three years. Unfortunately, the family relocated to North Carolina, but we maintain a close relationship and continue to babysit for their son, who is currently eight years old. Additionally, I have Read more provided babysitting, dog-sitting, and house-sitting services for my mother’s former employers, who she nannied for when she was unavailable. This experience spanned a total of five years and continues to this day. However, I do not babysit for them as frequently as I did in the past due to my current status as a freshman at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
