I have been doing daycare for 34 years. I started when my own children were little because I could not find a daycare that I could trust nor one that my children liked going to. I am DCFS licensed , I accept children with disabilities, as I have been trained and worked in that field before becoming a licensed daycare. I make sure the children feel at home here, I believe in learning through play and daily activities so everything we do is learning whether it be counting, learning colors, numbers, letters, shapes etc. We do arts and crafts and bake weekly. Daily we "play school " work on fine motor, play dress up, color, play outside (weather permitting) sing, dance, read books, do puzzles. I am on my 2 generation of children, meaning the children I once watched can't stay away and want their children to have the same experience they did.
