My child care experience started when I was 12. I would not only watch my siblings (few years younger than me) but friends of the families children as well (some as young as infants). When I turned 16 I began working at my aunts day care. I primarily worked with infants and toddlers, I loved every moment of it and frequently had babysitting jobs for families who's children I watched at the daycare during the day. When I graduated high school I was offered to nanny a 2-year-old for the summer, a child that I was frequently watching since his birth and had experience with at the daycare. After the summer I started college and sadly that is when I stopped my career in childcare.
