Spending time with children has been my full time job for three years. During the school year, I am a physical education teacher and a club soccer coach of two 4th grade girls’ soccer teams. I teach students from Kindergarten through 6th grade and have coached toddler soccer clinics. As part of my work, I maintain a valid CPR/AED certification and I am comfortable with first aid. I have a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois and a Masters degree in Adapted Physical Education from Northern Illinois University. I have a specialization in working with students with special needs and have the capability and enthusiasm to find a way to make activities accessible to everyone. I have spent three summers as a volunteer camp counselor for the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s summer camp. I enjoyed helping campers move and enjoy the traditional camp experiences that that they are Read more not able to take part in otherwise. As the summer months come, I am looking forward to working with families and participating in outdoor or indoor activities with children.
