Hello parents! Let me introduce a bit about who I am. My name is Jess, I am 26, and I currently live in La Grange Highlands, about 20 min away from Chicago. I'm an extremely creative lady! Reading, writing, being creative with any kind of movement and performance are huge parts of my life. I am an ensemble member with Golden Feather Productions, a children's fairy tale theater company and am the Assistant Director of Brave and Barefoot, a dance troupe. As often as possible, I find time to spend outdoors and love being as close to nature as possible! All of the experience from my creative work feeds how I work with children and vice versa! Fostering the growth of children is one of my favorite things in this world! I also truly believe it's one of the most important gifts we can give. I've been working with children Read more for over 7, maybe 8 years now! I've gotten the chance to work in many different capacities all over Chicagoland. Within Chicago Public Schools I teach K-8 grades after-school and summer theater and dance classes for Urban Gateways, a non profit. I also teach K-5 after-school dance through Brave and Barefoot, a dance/yoga community. Other past experience includes teaching fitness and health to Pre-K-5 grades and of course nannying and babysitting for wonderful children mostly toddler ages and elementary school ages. One of the most rewarding things for me is having the ongoing relationships with families that I babysit or nanny for. I have built wonderful relationships with many families and have had to move on in the past due to changing school schedules. Now I am looking for something long term and full time!
