My name is Meredith Kahn and I’m a 31 year old full-time nursing student and behavioral health counselor at a psychiatric residential treatment center that provides services to teenagers with severe eating disorders. For the last 7 years I have dedicated myself to the care and support of children and adolescents with extensive histories of trauma and dual-diagnoses of psychological and behavioral health problems who are part of the foster care system. I have worked with some of the most challenging adolescents on the west coast and midwest (including children convicted of murder!) and have loved every moment of it, giving everything I have to offer to kids with no one to advocate for them.
