Hello! My name is Keila Venegas, I recently have moved to Chicago from the northwest suburbs area and am currently employed by a family here in the suburbs. However, Due to the long commute, I am looking for other care opportunities here in the city starting late May/Early June for the summer and the fall school year. I am currently a student at Harper Community College and am studying to complete my Gen-Ed courses so that I may transfer to SIU in the spring to pursue my passion for aviation flight and management control. I have had children care experience since I was very young starting with the births of my younger siblings whom I helped to care for which became a strong foundation as I continued to work with children for neighbors and families. I have been fortunate enough to meet and work with several special and bright children Read more of all ages and genders mainly from 3-12yrs. I have experience caring for several children at a time alongside animals, I am both dog and cat-friendly and can care for them as well whenever necessary. During the school year, I work weekdays after school hours from around 2-6 and in the summer I can work all day if needed. Typically, I make sure the child has returned home from school whether it's picking them up from school or the bus. I make sure children have completed all assignments and have practiced instruments/other hobbies if necessary. Most of the kids I have worked for are in sports and activities, so depending on what day of the week it is I drive them to and from their activities. Depending on how late parents arrive home from work, I am capable of making food/dinner for the children and entertaining them, whether it be through playing games, watching movies, playing outside, reading a book. I am an artist and am good at making crafts, drawing, painting, etc. I love staying active and working out alongside being outside in nature especially in the summertime. I am bilingual as well.
