Hey! I'm Mika and I love kids! Freshman year I worked at Maple's Summer School program as a volunteer student teacher. I worked with kids ages 4-6 in a "Get Ready for Kindergarten" class, I worked with 3rd-5th grade in a drama class, and I worked with 4th-6th grade in a cooking class. This year I am also volunteering to work in the preschool instead of having a study hall. Not only do I love children, but I am an excellent caregiver. I spent 3.5 years caregiving for an ALS patient. I also have very different interests than most. I know sign language, I'm a varsity bowler, and I love to hula hoop. I will be sure to make every experience I have with kids a great one!
