Adriana was great when she watched Maddie. She started in May 2017 and watched my daughter until July 21, 2017. She was scheduled to come on July 21 and was due here by 9am as agreed upon by her. She didn't call and didn't show up that day. I texted her after 9am to see if she was coming. She said that she was at the hospital filling out paper-work for her great uncle and that "work had slipped her mind". I said, ok, give me a call please. She never called, never showed and never let me know if she was coming later in the day or not. I didn't hear from her again until the following Tuesday morning when she texted to see if I still needed her. I was a bit surprised by the contact Tuesday morning. I thought she had quit, so I found someone to watch my daughter the remaining 3 weeks until school started back up again. I had back to back meetings the day Adriana didn't show up and it left me in a bind. She was late several times throughout the summer, and called off twice in 6 weeks, but because I work from home and it was for my 8 year old daughter, who is fairly independent, I let it go. I only have child-care for my daughter as my job requires me to be at a computer all day and I wanted my daughter outside playing at the park etc. Adriana is great with kids, but I gave her 3 stars because I don't think she is as reliable as she needs to be. For someone with more independent children, or someone that doesn't have to be at work with no last minute call-offs, she'd probably be good. Occasional date night care would be okay too if she shows up.
