I love being a sitter because it allows me to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children, which is something I’m deeply passionate about. My experience working with foster children has shown me the importance of building trust and creating a stable routine, which is essential for children who may have faced trauma or instability. I enjoy watching them grow, develop, and feel supported. Additionally, my training as a CNA has taught me the importance of being compassionate, attentive, and responsive to children's needs, and I find it incredibly rewarding to offer that care to kids while their families are away. I have extensive experience working with foster children, which has helped me develop a deep understanding of different emotional and behavioral needs. I’ve learned how to adapt my caregiving to each child’s unique situation, providing them with the structure, care, and compassion they need. My role as a Read more Certified Nursing Assistant has also given me practical experience in caregiving, such as assisting with medical needs, ensuring safety, and being responsive in high-pressure situations. Whether it’s tending to a child’s medical needs, helping with homework, or providing emotional support, I have the skills and experience to give each child the care they deserve. I am trained in CPR and First Aid, which has been essential in both my role as a CNA and in my work with foster children. I’m also skilled in handling emotional and behavioral challenges, as I’ve worked with children who may have experienced trauma or instability. I’m patient, adaptable, and know how to establish routines that make children feel secure and valued. My experience as a CNA has made me highly attentive to details, so I’m good at noticing small changes in behavior or health that might indicate a need for extra care. I’m also familiar with child development and know how to support children at various stages in their growth.
