Hi! My name is Katie. I grew up in Rockton, IL but moved to Iowa with my family. I have my Associates in Science and my Bachelors Degree in Nursing. I have many credit hours, certifications, and trainings involving childcare. I am CPR and 1st Aid Certified. I just recently renewed these as well. I come from a family of 5 children and I am the second oldest. I started babysitting when I was 12 years old with a 3 month old. After this I babysat for more families and was a nanny during my high school years during the summer time. I have had several babysitting jobs throughout my life and have loved every minute of it! While attending nursing school, I worked and still currently work at a children’s learning center. It has been such an incredible experience and I have met so many amazing families. I currently Read more still live in Iowa but will be moving to Illinois in 2 weeks and am looking to start working ASAP. I love children. I love what I do. You might as me why I’m not working as a nurse currently and that is because I simply love the other side of working with kids and teaching them rather than having to stick tubes and needles into them. Maybe some day down the road my mind will change, but for now; my heart is in childcare. I’m a very ambitious and outgoing person. I love to be outdoors, being active, doing arts and crafts, reading, traveling, and loving on my sweet animals. I would love the opportunity to get to know you and your family.
