My name is Selena, I'm 19 years old, a former student at College of Lake County and a proud mother of a one year old girl. I've had 5 years of experience in baby sitting, 3 of which I was being payed for. I worked for an employer who has a home day care named "Little Stars" located in Round Lake Beach. I currently still help out on my free time. At the home day care I was responsible to care for 15 children of all ages up to 13 years at once including newborns. My duties as a caregiver were to serve and feed the kids breakfast, lunch, and snacks. I was to do all kinds of activities with the kids such as painting, reading a book in a group, acting out a play, doing holiday arts and crafts, taking the kids out to the park, having a picnic, Read more baking, drawing, and a lot more! I also helped the older kids with their homework. Whenever I was in charge of watching a baby, I focused all my attention on him or her. Meaning I spent the whole day feeding, burping, changing diapers, etc. I loved working at "Little Stars" it was the best experience I ever had with children of all age groups. Prior to working at Little Stars day care, I also cared for my friends kids and my family's children as well. I love playing sports, mainly, i enjoy being active outdoors. I was also a former MVP in cross country my junior and senior year in high school. I hold a certification as a Nurse Assistant and my CPR. I became a caregiver because I enjoy taking care of not only kids, but people as well. I do not see myself doing anything else in this world but watching over and nursing the elderly or children. My long term goal is to become a Pediatric Nurse because I adore kids with all my heart! I truly am a warm hearted person. I'm really nice, respectful, caring, loving, fun, trustworthy, and reliable. I personally believe that children are our guardian angels and they deserve the best quality care there can be.
