My love for children began 10 years ago when I became an Aunt for the fist time. I am currently an Aunt to 5 awesome kids that range from ages 10 to 3. my babysitting experience began with them. To this day, I enjoy interacting, playing, coloring and encouraging kids to use their imagination. I also enjoy listening to little ones express themselves verbally. I have learned that getting down to their level and letting them know that I will always listen, works wonders when aiming for discipline. After I graduated High School, I volunteered at the "Kids Korner" at the Lake County Court house for the summer. It was then that I discovered my passion for child care and early education. shortly after summer came to an end, I began working at a home daycare, where I was responsible for changing diapers, feeding and nap time. Six months later, Read more I was given the opportunity to work at St. Joseph School's after school care, where I not only supervised 15 children, but I was also able to aid with homework and work on arts and crafts. I was also given the opportunity to sub for the preschool and kindergarten teachers assistant several times. I am currently waiting to hear back from the college of Lake County regarding the paraprofessional exam, which was cancelled due to the pandemic. I will also be getting CPR certified as soon as possible.
