Since I was a teenager, I have devoted my time to caring for children and learning better ways to do so. I am currently a licensed social worker at a therapeutic school, where I work with students ranging in age from 6 to 18 years old. While in graduate school, I lived and worked in a children's home in Johannesburg, South Africa; there, I provided daily care and enrichment for the children living in the home. Before graduate school, I worked with students in Chicago Public Schools, where I worked as a literacy tutor and afterschool and enrichment program manager. I also have a considerable amount of babysitting experience, including overnight stays; references are available upon request. I believe that caring for a children requires providing for their emotional, social, and physical well-being.
