My niece Samantha was born in Rockford when I was 10 years old. For the next five years, I spent many, many hours caring for her, as well as for her brother and sister who came later. During that time, I also cared for other children belonging to family and friends. Much of my free time (since age 10) has been spent nannying/babysitting. I love to be around kids. I worked as a teacher at Kindercare for four years. I had wonderful relationships with our families. I looked forward to seeing the kids every day. During my time in the early childhood education field, I cared for/taught toddlers through sixth-graders. Every age has different challenges, I experienced them all... many times over. Even though kids can be exhausting at times, (especially when they are overly tired, missing mom, etc,) I very much enjoy them.
