I was trained in the Safe Sitter program at twelve years old. However, as the oldest daughter at home, I have been babysitting my younger siblings for as long as I can remember. With my experience in swim lessons, life guarding, and volunteering at my church and a mothers and children’s ministry in Indianapolis, I have a very diverse background in child care and a strong understanding of safety and alertness for children of all ages. My most recent consistent babysitting job was last summer every week for a family friend’s Bible study. The age range of the children I babysat was toddlers to preteens, usually 3-7 children at a time for 3-4 hours. I can always get creative about engaging with children from home, but I also love making memories by going on adventures together, whether it be parks, pools, playgrounds, or other fun experiences.
