Hello there! My name is Dana and I'm a 52 year old mom to 6 fantastic, grown kids. After being a stay-at-home mom for 21 years, I found myself needing to work. I was hired by a lovely family with 4 sweet, little girls that I've been working full-time with for nearly 3 years now in the Indianapolis area. However, due to my upcoming wedding at the end of August, I will be relocating to the Louisville, KY area (Jeffersontown to be exact) where my soon-to-be husband grew up, works and lives. Tearfully, I will be leaving the employment of the family I am currently caring for on August 19th as I prepare to walk down the aisle to my fiance' on the 27th of that month, then moving to Louisville on the 28th. I am a well-organized, detail-oriented person who loves working with children of all ages and thrives on helping ease the load of today's busy parents. As a mother who stayed home to raise my children, I am well aware of the stresses of daily life and what it takes to make a household filled with children (or even just one child) run like a well-oiled machine, but yet to sprinkle each day with love, kindness, happiness and lots of laughter. I'm a very happy person who doesn't mind getting down to a 'little' person's level and seeing the world from their perspective all while making sure mom and dad are secure in the knowledge that their most prized treasures are well-loved, cared for and happy. I don't mind doing extra things such as seeing to the laundry of the children I care for, running errands and grocery shopping for mom and dad, taking kiddos to and from school and everywhere in between, seeing that Fido's needs are met too, and even helping with light housework, meal prep and making sure that homework is done. While my name may not be Mrs. Doubtfire or Mary Poppins, I can most definitely run circles around them both on a daily basis. (However, Mary Poppins has me beat with the umbrella flying thing! Ha!)
