What I enjoy most about care giving is connecting with families. A care giver not only teaches a child but is taught what is most valuable in a child's world. I enjoy being able to provide that sense of security, affirmation, and encouragement to children and their families. I began babysitting while I was in high school. Mostly my jobs were on as needed basis. While in college I provided after school care to a primary grade student. I studied Elementary Education/ Special Education from Oakland City University, which is located in Oakland City, Indiana. Shortly after receiving my Bachelor's degree from Oakland City, I married my husband and moved to Louisville. We have been married for over two years. We have one daughter with whom I am able to stay at home with.
