I have been babysitting for the last 5 years. I'm pretty much on call as needed. I have around 5 different families who contact me if they need me. One family sometimes gets caught up at work and they will call me and I will go pick their child up from the after school day care she attends. Sometimes the families will have to work a Saturday or Sunday and they call me. I'm always available. I usually prefer to watch children in their own homes. I feel they are more comfortable with their own toys and their nomal surroundings.I also think its so much easier on the parents for me to come to their home. No packing extra clothes in case of accidents or getting dirty playing outside. No bringing the child's lunch or worrying that you forgot to pack their favorite toy or stuffed animal. No arguments with Read more the child about which toys he/she wants to bring for that day. No worrying about accidentally leaving your child's favorite stuffed animal or toy at the babysitters house and not realizing it until it's bedtime. I have babysat in spotless homes and have babysat in homes that have zero clean spots. I understand parenting is hectic and chores get pushed to the back burner for days or sometimes longer. My job is to take care of the child my job is not to judge someone by the way their home looks.I have even done overnight stays at the child's home. Mother and father wanted a night out together and I had a sleepover with the 3 children.I have 1 daughter she is 15. I have raised her on my own since she was 4 years old. I have babysat children of all ages. I love to be outside with the children. Fresh air and lots of outside play is great.
