Hello parents and guardians! My name is Bella and I am 23 years old. I’m a college student at IUSB training to become a medical coder. I also have an associates degree in psychology from Ivy Tech. Since I was young, I’ve had an interest in nurturing and taking care of babies and children. I like learning about their development and way of viewing the world at their age. Caregiving for my baby cousins and other children became a fun and regular job at times and I loved it! I learned how to be responsible and trustworthy. How to be a kid again and teach them anything I can. I know this is not related to childcare, but I think it´s worth mentioning: Last year I was hired by the State of Illinois to be a personal assistant to a woman with disabilities. That job required me to run errands Read more (get groceries), help prepare meals, clean home, laundry, bathe, dress and care for her when she was ill. My most recent job was caring for my baby (13-15 months) cousin while his parents were working. Sometimes, I would drop off my 5 year old cousin to school with the baby and then take care of all three children (plus an 8 year old) after getting home from school. I am in the process of obtaining my first aide/cpr certification and should receive it by the first of August. **I am trying to build enough experience hours to apply for a CDA + training program Thank you for your time and consideration.
