Hello! I am a 25 year old female who is employed at Riley Hospital for Children. I recently graduated with my Master of Science in June 2015 from Rush University in Chicago. I also attended University of Illinois for my undergraduate degree in Biology. During my undergrad schooling I worked for the YMCA of Chicago for their summer camp programs as the summer camp unit lead for ages 5-7 as well as their after school programs for kindergarden to second graders. I worked for the YMCA for two years and recently resigned from that position as it was too time consuming for my schooling. Before the YMCA, I worked for Lifetime Fitness as a summer camp counselor. I have babysat for numerous families as well, most of those whom I met through my YMCA employment. I am CPR and AED certified (basic and advanced since I need advanced for my Read more healthcare profession), I can show proof of this certification as well. I am the second oldest of four children in my family, so I have had a lot of experience taking care of my siblings growing up and overall I love to care for children, I plan to go into pedatrics so getting to take care of healthy children is fun for me!! I am an ex NCAA basketball player, very athletic and active so I take most of the kids I babysit to parks or try to keep them active instead of sitting in front of the tv or new tablet device they may have. I do currently work at Riley Childrens so I understand working with all different demographics of children and I love my job! I am looking to be a nanny as a part-time hobby, I love working with children and caring for them.

Despite a thorough interview and mutual understanding of both of our professional needs and schedules (and after a trial day to make sure it was a good fit), after one day of working Erin asked for Friday off and "announced" she could no longer work any future Wednesday's as agreed upon since something personal came up. I was understanding, but concerned. That was week one. Week two she also "announced" she could not work this Friday due to a wedding she thought was Saturday. My response was, "Ok, let's talk tomorrow?" Before tomorrow came she announced that she had just met with her manager and her schedule changed and could no longer work for us effective immediately. Indy rate of pay was above average, she had to supervise my 3rd grader only (who is sweet and an A studentt). Incredibly unprofessional at best.

I found Erin on sittercity when my little girl was only 4 months old. Erin has sat for us around 10 times since and has always been ten minutes early (I LOVE THAT! It's actually my primary reason for continuing to call her.), is quick to respond to requests, has never cancelled (that's a huge pet peeve of mine), and is responsible and trustworthy with such a young baby. We've needed someone who could stay until the wee hours (2 or 3 in the am) and she's always been able to do that.
