I am a 27 year old mother who has been babysitting since the dark ages! In fact, I started babysitting when I was in middle school and continued throughout high school. I live in Indianapolis, Indiana but worked as a facilitator at an elementary school in Carmel, Inidana which is where I received my First Aid CPR/CPI certification. I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and will be starting grad school online (Master's in Industrial-Organizational Psychology) in February but because it is online, I am able to have 100%, open, flexible availability. Why would I make a good babysitter? Well- I believe I am a good mother and you definitely learn about children when you have them! My husband is self-employed and is able to work from home which gives me even more flexibility! I am a true believer in positive reinforcement and having fun! My kids and I love Read more crafts, games, movies, going to the park, playing barbie dolls, and of course, using our imagination! -I must add, I use to watch my good friend's (rambunctious) two year old twin sons, four year old son, six year old son, and nine year old daughter (along with my two) every weekday for an entire summer! I have extensive experience with disabilities and special needs as I have a younger brother who was born with a severe from of spina bifida known as myelomeningocele. I have volunteered at organizations (that he attended) and worked with several children who also had a variety of special needs/ disabilities. Finally, I was able to gain more experience at my previous place of employment (...at the elementary school) working one on one with many of these children.
