Hello, and welcome to my profile! My name is Molly and I am a mom to one. I feel that I am unique to the nannying field because of my previous experience. Due to some lifestyle changes I needed to have a more adjustable/flexible schedule and decided to pursue nannying. I have previous experience working with children, and most recently worked as a Nurse Assistant at Northwest Health. I cared mostly for adults and seniors and I really enjoyed the job. I'm a stand out nanny, because you aren't just getting anyone. I am CPR and First Aide certified (Basic Lifesaving Support) from the American Red Cross. Not only do I have a valid certification through 2025, I have previously been certified as well. You aren't getting someone that took a class for an hour or two and hopefully remembers most of it. With me you have someone with consistent Read more and repetitive education on BLS skills. I attained my most recent certification while working as a Nurse Assistant at a hospital on the IMCU floor. I cared for mostly adult and elderly patients that were a step down from ICU levels of care. I was responsible for patient care which included assistance with hygiene, eating, repositioning, basic wound care/bandage changes, vitals checks, blood sugar checks, communicating with the patients' family and other members of their care team (doctors, nurses, etc.). Not only will you have someone that has worked in the medical field, you will also get someone who has worked in early childhood development roles. I have previously worked for the Head Start program as an assistant teacher working with children from the ages of 3-5 years old. I assisted with lesson plans, playing with the kids, assisting with their lunches, speaking with their parents, being there for pick up/drop off, etc. In association with the Head Start program I also covered the daycare center in both the infant room and the toddler room (18 mos.-2 years). I have various certifications such as safe sleep practices, safe eating practices, age specific behavior trends and enrichment requirements/suggestions. These certifications can be provided. So now you have an already CPR and First Aide certified nanny with experience in both the medical field AND health care field? What more could you possibly ask for? WAIT, there's more!I also have experience in kitchens and have been ServSafe certified for safe sanitation and food handling practices.
