Hi, my name is Katherine but everyone calls me Katie :) a little bit more about me, I love to crochet and draw. I was at one point CPR and First Aid certified, the official certification ended a few months ago but I of course still know how to perform those tasks if needed I am currently pursuing a degree in human services at my local community college as well. I have been working with kids pretty much my whole life. It started by helping out in the nursery at church as soon as I was old enough, and then when I moved here to Indiana when I was 16 I started to get involved locally and that is when I got my first professional childcare job. The job is one that I still do now which is running the nursery at a local church one morning a week for Read more a bible study so that moms with young kids can come and not have to worry about their kids interrupting the study :) I have always loved working with kids, and in the last 2 years I have found that I developed a passion for working with them. Not only that, I have also found that I love the relationships that I get to build with the parents of the children I watch. I learned the true meaning of "it takes a village to raise a child" when I moved away from my "village" and found myself learning just how much of my personality comes from those that helped raise me. And then something amazing happened, I met a couple with Triplets, yes that's right, 3 babies all at once, when I met them the kids had turned 2 about two months a before and then when they were 2 1/2 I started to watching them once a week so their mother could have some free time each week. I have now been watching them for one year and I have thoroughly loved becoming an extechen of their family. They have and still continue to teach me so much on what it means to care for kids, how each one has a different personality and comfort zone and to watch and help them in their learning.
