About Me: My name is Gabrielle. I am a mother or two children. My daughter is four and my son is fourteen months. I currently work for IU Health. I am an Enteral Nutrition Specialist at Riley Hospital for Children. I work out of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. I would love to be able to provide care to infants and young children on a daily basis as I do now at Riley. ( babysitting would give me more flexibility to spend quality time with my own children) Experience: I have been a State and Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician since 2010 working in Hospitals with various age groups. I more recently took a position at Riley Enteral Nutrition Specials in which I prepare Infant Formula Special Requests, and fortify maternal as well as, donor breast milk. Nutrition and Wellness are essential to maintaining Good Health. Training: with two children of Read more my own I have had several learning opportunities. Since the birth of my daughter in 2011 I have accumulated parenting materials such as: Breastfeeding books/ dvd's, general infant care printouts and videos provided by various hospitals, education in pediatric CPR and First Aid, as well as, child development books for CDA, and good advice from nurses, family members and friends. Working on the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Riley has provided me with insight to premature and multiple birth children, thought it is limited. Most Important: I am tolerant of disabilities. I use positive reinforcement and redirection for inappropriate behavior. I spend time engaging infant/children in educational, but fun games, books, and songs. I exercise the infant/children large motor play indoors, and outdoors. I am involved with ALL aspects of infant/children schedule the entire day.
