I love being a sitter because I genuinely enjoy working with children. Watching them grow, learn, and express themselves brings me a lot of joy. Every child is different, and I love the creativity and patience it takes to connect with them and make them feel safe and supported. In terms of training and experience, I've spent several years preparing for this kind of work. In highschool, I completed three years of child care classess, where I learned about child development, safe, and different activities. I also worked at a daycare center for a year which allowed me to gain hands-on experience. My aunt owns a day care center and I would help out there whenever I could, which allowed me to have even more exposure to different age groups and family needs. Later, while in college, I worked at another daycare for a year, continuing to build on those Read more skills. These experiences have taught me how to stay calm under pressure, keep children engaged in a fun and educational way, ad communicate well with both kids and parents.
