I love being a sitter because I truly enjoy making a positive impact in children’s lives and supporting families in meaningful ways. I value creating safe, engaging, and nurturing environments where children can learn and grow through play and everyday moments. I especially enjoy creative opportunities for naturalistic learning, particularly with younger children. I’m calm, playful, and a kid at heart, while also knowing when to step into a more structured and disciplined role to support routines and expectations. I have about four years of experience working with children of all ages. My background includes working as a Teacher Assistant in a daycare facility, serving as a preschool teacher, and most recently working as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with children on the autism spectrum. Through these roles, I’ve gained experience with daily routines, behavior support, developmental milestones, and building strong, trusting relationships with children and families. I am CPR Read more and First Aid certified and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology. I am currently working toward my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Roosevelt University, where I also serve as a Graduate Assistant. My training has given me a strong foundation in child development, behavior support, emotional regulation, and positive reinforcement strategies. I am comfortable with pets (I have a cat and have lived with both cats and dogs most of my life) and am happy to help with light housekeeping, laundry, dishes, meal preparation, and transportation as needed. While I balance graduate school and my assistantship, I am very motivated to work collaboratively with families to find a schedule that works well for both of us.
