Hello! My name is Elizabeth and I am hoping to get to know your family's needs for your current opening. I have 10+ years experience being a full time and part time nanny/babysitter. Currently, I teach full time during the school year as an orchestra director. I will be available for full-time summer care starting June 5th and am hoping that I will find a family I can spend recurring summers with. I have a vast amount of nannying experience with children, infants to teenagers. In summer 2017 I nannied for a family with a girl and boy (4.5 & 10 months) in Northbrook. In summer 2016 nannied for another family with 2 boys (12 & 10) and 1 girl (5) in Ravenswood. I helped these families with daily household activities, prepared children for their new school using math and reading comprehension workbooks, and even created schedules with "field trip" Read more activities outside the house. I also have experience babysitting - generally throughout the school year. As a babysitter, I generally helped children with homework, did some meal prep and drove them to any after school activities. I babysit for a family in 2016 with two boys (9 & 11) in Park Ridge and for a family in 2015 with two girls (9 & 12) in Northbrook. During my college career, I nannied for 2 adopted toddlers [both 3 years old] from China with hearing impairments and provided them with Pre-K and language services. During high school I was a leader and supervisor of a Park and Rec Department, which provided experience in running day camps for children ages 6-12. I have received by Bachelor's degree in Music Education and am certified to teach music PK-12. I have current licenses as well as FBI and BCI background checks through the Illinois, Ohio and Kansas Departments of Education.
