Hello there! My name is Alayna Baker. I am a senior in college about to start my student teaching semester in the fall. I am getting a degree in Special Education with an emphasis in autism and severe disabilities. I love being a babysitter because I get to interact with all of the fun personalities kids have! I love seeing kids grow and play. I have lots of experience at a home daycare, I was there for 3 years. I watched kids of all ages and would babysit the families individually in the evenings or on the weekends. I also just finished working for 3 years at a daycare on my college campus, but just ended that because I am moving back home to student teach. I got the amazing opportunity to help my peers in a special needs classroom for 2 years in high school. I volunteered at Camp Read more Barnabas one year in high school and I loved every minute of it. I love working and becoming friends with kids and adults with disabilities because of their smile when they have overcome one of their challenges that they have worked on. Lastly, I coach club volleyball and love to see kids interact and work together with one another. I coach because I want to help kids reach their goals.
