Hello! My name is Ashura (“ash-rah”). I graduated from John Carroll University with a degree in Exercise Science in May of 2019. During my time at John Carroll, I was a member of the track and field team, a mentor, and a part of the Scholars service program as well. After graduating from college, I moved to California to pursue my doctorate in physical therapy at the University of Southern California. Life, however, had other plans and I now live in Kansas as I work towards my masters in Health, Sport Management and Exercise Science at KU. Hello! I am a third year physical therapy student at KUMC. I’m on my full time unpaid clinical rotations and am in need of some extra cash. I worked at a Bright Horizons in Iowa for 2.5 years as a toddler teacher. I typically floated between the infant, preschool, and kindergarten prep rooms as well. I also have experience as a summer camp counselor and fitness center childcare provider that helped me connect with older children. I currently nanny a family of four, ages 2.5, 9, 12, and 13 years, and have been doing so for two years.
