I worked in a day care center for 9 years then after that I worked in a church preschool for 25 years, which I am now retired from. In the day care center I worked with mostly preschoolers and sometimes I took care of the school-age children. At the preschool I was the director/teacher and planned all the activities and helped prepare the students for kindergarten using most of those activities. Since it was a church preschool I could read Bible stories, I taught prayers and sang songs about Jesus & God. I played the piano and taught the children all kinds of songs. I have over 30 years of background checks from the state of Kansas. I have years of childcare training hours and have always keep up my CPR/first-aid training. I have taught the preschool Sunday School class at First United Methodist Church for about 20 years and Read more have also helped in the school-age classroom. I worked in the church nursery for about 5 years and helped with Vacation Bible School with all ages-preschool to 5th grade. I have 3 grandchildren ages 11 months, 5 years old and 8 years old. I love spending time with all of them! Some of my interests are reading, walking, and scrap booking. I love playing outside with my 2 older granddaughters.
