Throughout my past year of schooling I have completed 24 hours of fieldwork based in pediatrics and 24 hours based in mental health, and throughout have been working with children who have special needs. This hands-on experience has given me a strong foundation for insight onto routine building, emotional regulation support, and sensory-friendly activities.

Hello! I am currently a college student at Kansas State University with a major in criminology! I am a former Sunday school teacher so I’m used to dealing with messes and children. I enjoy caring for kids and spending time with them. I am also a former lifeguard so I am CPR and first aid trained.

Back home I worked at a Kiddi Kollege for most of my high school career. I worked with infants all the way up to 5th grade, because I was a floater I worked with all ages. With the babies- toddles a lot of the things we would do was structured. I would change diapers and give them bottles. For example we would do center time in the morning, straight into playtime all the way up to lunch, after lunch we would nap and then do arts and crafts and play some more until they got picked up. With the older kids like pre- k and school age it was a little more flexible. I would do lunches and also center time to get learning in. But a lot of the time we would do activities that had to do with learning and engaging aswell as enrichment activities. During the summer we would go on field trips and do tons of activities inside the daycare. each week had a theme, with the themes there would be educational activities that allow them to learn new things while having fun I have open time and would love to fill it doing something I enjoy. I have 4 siblings and have experience with autism because one if my siblings is on the spectrum. I would love to meet some families that I can connect with and keep coming back to if needed!

Hi! My name’s Olivia and I’m a senior at K-State and am majoring in Psychology! I currently have my CPR and Red Cross certification. I have previous experience teaching children’s ministry with infant through preschool aged children, and have worked with elementary aged kids at cool care club afterschool care.
