I’m comfortable with making bottles (breast milk, formula, or whole milk) and with changing diapers and dealing with blowouts/changing clothes. - I worked at a daycare in Lenexa for almost a year, primarily in the Infant room (ages 4 months to a year) but also helped out in the Toddler rooms (1 year- 2 1/2 years) as well as with ages 3 years and up. - I’m currently a nanny to a 15 month old and have been watching her since she was 6 months old. - I am CPR and First Aid certified. - I am currently studying Psychology at the University of Kansas and am primarily located in Lawrence. Hello! My name is Ashura (“ash-rah”). I graduated from John Carroll University with a degree in Exercise Science in May of 2019. During my time at John Carroll, I was a member of the track and field team, a mentor, and a part of the Scholars service program as well. After graduating from college, I moved to California to pursue my doctorate in physical therapy at the University of Southern California. Life, however, had other plans and I now live in Kansas as I work towards my masters in Health, Sport Management and Exercise Science at KU. When it comes to my childcare experience, I have been caring for children for what seems like an eternity. I am the oldest of 3 girls, so I have helped care for my sisters since birth. I babysat for numerous families while I lived in Ohio. I’ve also done lots of work with children from volunteering, to tutoring, to working at a day camp. In California, I was the primary caretaker for several families with children ranging from newborns to about 6 years old. I have my basic life support certification, so I am CPR and First Aid certified. I have a car and a clean driving record should I need to transport your child(ren).
