I’m a 27 year old special education para for grade school aged children. I’ve been babysitting since I was a teenager, from babies to early teenagers. I also have experience supervising and providing care for multiple children through my previous work at Lawrence Community Shelter. I enjoy art, reading, and spending time outdoors, and I would love to share those things with the children I care for. I am a non-smoker with reliable transportation, and am eager to help in any way I can, including cooking, housework, and caring for pets. - I have years of experience (since I was 10/11) taking care of children of all ages and animals (dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, etc) - I have a car, and am comfortable driving wherever I am needed, whether it is for errands or taking kids somewhere. - I can cook and help with homework! I’m comfortable with making bottles (breast milk, formula, or whole milk) and with changing diapers and dealing with blowouts/changing clothes. - I worked at a daycare in Lenexa for almost a year, primarily in the Infant room (ages 4 months to a year) but also helped out in the Toddler rooms (1 year- 2 1/2 years) as well as with ages 3 years and up. - I’m currently a nanny to a 15 month old and have been watching her since she was 6 months old. - I am CPR and First Aid certified. - I am currently studying Psychology at the University of Kansas and am primarily located in Lawrence. My schedule and availability changes each semester.

When my cousin was sick, I watched both of her baby boys full time and absolutely loved it. Hello! My name is Sophie and I have been watching children for 7 years. I am 21 years old and a junior majoring in communications at KU. I have watched children of all ages, and love to connect with all of them! I sat for the same family for 6 years, nannying for them in the summers. It was a great privilege to watch them grow up, and becoming someone in their life who had an impact on them is why I love kids. I am CPR and First Aid certified, and have had experience with medical emergencies before while babysitting. I have sat at all times of the day and am very experienced with bed time (I love to read them stories!). I can cook and make snacks, clean, and take care of pets.
