I have worked with children for many years and it has been my passion since I was a little girl. I have babysat for families since high school and worked at a child development center as a teacher aide. I am currently involved through the Applied Behavioral Science program at the University of Kansas working towards my degree. This is my last year before I graduate and am in my second semester of practicum in the child development center on campus called KEAP, which stands for Kansas Early Autism Program and I am a teacher for those children. I work with them everyday and I could't be happier getting the opportunity to be able to change their lives through the strategies and skills taught to the kids as they go through development. I am certified in first aid training along with child abuse/neglect and CPR. As I continue to work Read more hard towards my goal of being a preschool teacher my next step is to get my masters in Special Education. The feeling of knowing how much of an impact you have on that child makes life rewarding because everyone should have the chance at life and the opportunity to receive the proper education by acquiring developmental skills that will be so important throughout your whole life. I have such a heart for children and being a future educator!
