I am a Junior at Kansas State University who plans to spend June and July in Lawrence. I am an Architecture student who will be shadowing at Treanor Architects in Lawrence this summer. I am only shadowing 1-2 days a week, and need extra employment. I don't have a lot of actual "babysitting" experience. But I have LOTS of hours teaching swim lessons, both privately and through our local pool. I founded my towns chess club. Both experiences include supervising a multitude of active children. I also have been a camp counselor at the Karpov School of Chess for several years, (Lindsborg, KS). That camp is for grade school through high school kids. In addition to helping teach within the camp, I was responsible for supervising the kids in the dorms, as it is an overnight camp. And I was in charge of taking them to the pool for our Read more Recreation time. I also started a chess club at our local library, and that involved supervising students. This past Christmas break, I also worked as a para professional at our local grade school. I enjoy kids, and they seem to enjoy me.
