Hello! My name is Callie. I’m currently a full time hybrid student at Washburn University studying graphic design. Topeka is where I call home but as of now I’m located in Lawrence. A little about my experience: I have two younger siblings that my family adopted over 11 years ago at 8 months and 3 years old, respectively. Over these years I gained a wealth of knowledge pertaining to the care of infants to middle schoolers. In addition to this experience, I’ve worked as an in-home care provider for a mentally disabled adult, I consider him a good friend. I was responsible for all household chores such as cooking, laundry, vacuuming, putting away toys, baths, and so on. Additionally I was responsible for special needs care including emptying/changing colostomy bags, using a feeding tube, and administering medication. A little about me: I’m an avid reader, history buff, outdoorswoman, lover of Read more animals, tea enthusiast, video game connoisseur, nerd for all things sci-fi/fantasy, and amateur weight lifter to name a few. Most of my free time is spent doing any combination of these activities— that is, when I’m not at home loving on my cat. I also enjoy cooking and baking for my loved ones.
