Hi there! My name is Sarah, and I have over 9 years of experience working with children. Ever since I was young, I absolutely knew that I wanted to work with kids! When I was 11, I took my first babysitting course, and it helped me realize that I want to nanny or at least work with children! Fast forward to 2014, I began my journey towards that goal of being a nanny or working with children by starting my studies at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado. In just 3 short years, I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education birth through age 8. I was also able to attain my Teaching License to teach from Kindergarten through 3rd grade. I have many types of experience from babysitting jobs to my student teaching in Kindergarten. I did my student teaching experience in Lyons, CO at Read more an elementary school. I worked closely and taught both Kindergarten classes during my student teaching semester. My greatest achievement was leading them all on a trip to Rocky Mountain National Park where I Park Ranger during the summers. I love being able to get out into the world with children by bringing them to the park, zoo, museums, library, and other places. Besides my student teaching experience, I worked in a nursery at my church taking care of 8 month olds up to 6 years old. I watched an average of 5 children during this time. With this job, I had several job duties including the following: changing diapers, cleaning and wiping down items in room, monitoring behavior, supervising play time, creating and implementing curriculum, and more. I also am blessed to have over 2000 hours of experience teaching and observing in preschool age settings. I did these hours for my degree in Early Childhood, and it really gave me some great experience working with infants to school age children. Besides my teaching degree and license, I also have some other great qualifications. I am CPR/AED/First Aid Certified. They are all current and valid. I also have my Universal Precautions training, and a few other trainings required by the state for my teaching degree. I think that I would make a great nanny or babysitter for your family.
