Hello! My name is Natalie, I’m 20, soon to be 21, years old, and a student at UC. I’ve loved working with children since I became the appropriate age to babysit at 13, and was allowed to look after my cousins. I was so excited to complete the Red Cross Babysitters Training and start caring for children. Once I began college, I needed to find a way to make more money. I started at my first daycare after I’d realized I, like many others, do not enjoy working in customer service. I soon realized my connection with children. I worked at a second daycare for some time after my first shut down due to COVID. At both daycares I looked after all age groups, ranging from infant up to 4 years old. It was so rewarding for me to see the curiosity and large milestones reached in early childcare, and Read more I was so honored to be there along the way for the families I worked with. After my second daycare, I began working as a para/tutor at an elementary school. I had tutored a bit for middle school age before, and found that I also enjoyed teaching. For me, I’ve had few teachers throughout my life that have shown me the joy of learning, or how I can cater strategies to my own needs so I can do my very best, or have even been there to nurture and guide through issues. My one goal throughout my childcare endeavors has been to be this person for these kids. Although, I’m going for my Bachelors in Physics and plan to go into aerospace engineering with this, I can’t help but find so much passion in caring for children on the side, and I will continue for the rest of my life.
