I am a 23 year old college student. I’m from Nashville, Tn. I attend Western Kentucky University, and my major is early childhood education. I’m a super nice and easy going person. I’m funny , patient, and really energetic. I currently work as a preschool teacher at The Learning Zone. I work with ages 2-3. I have two younger siblings who I’ve helped watch and take care of since they were born. My first experience I had working with kids was two summers ago. I worked as a youth development staff member at the boys and girls club. I worked with the ages K-2nd & 5th-6th graders. I absolutely loved it. I got to basically plan the whole day full of activities for them to do. I loved the idea of having to come up with an activity that still had a good learning purpose behind it. After about a Read more week of working there I knew this was something I wanted to do for a longer period of time. I would say what sets me apart from others is the fact that I leave a memorable impression on people. While working at the daycare, I could tell that the kids were extremely attached to me and they looked up to me. That was a good feeling to have. When I’m able to influence a child in way that there’s a positive outcome, that makes me feel like I’ve done my job as person. While working at the boys & girls club, I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to get CPR certified.
