Being the oldest of my siblings, I started babysitting at the age of 11 after going through the babysitter cpr/first aid certification training program that the American Red Cross offers. Since then, I babysat for numerous families along the years before going off to and during college to get my Bachelors in Psychology in hopes of working with the child/adolescent population. I also became a lifeguard and kept up with being cpr/first aid certified. Before my senior year of college, I started working in my field at an in-patient behavioral hospital where I work with all age demographics (excluding geriatrics) but have always preferred the kids/teens. Through my employer, I have been given the opportunity to be CPI & SCM certified along with proper ways to deescalate aggressive/violent situations.
