Hello! My name is Amanda Snyder. I am originally from Columbus, Ohio. I am a newlywed as of August 16th, 2025. My wonderful husband is from this area and I moved to Louisville area to be closer to his family. The most important thing about me is my relationship with Jesus. I started working with children when I was in middle school as I volunteered to serve in the children's ministry at my church with toddler aged kids. From that, I was connected with families and started babysitting regularly. This included weekly group babysitting for grow groups, date night gigs, and then from that I started nannying. I took a gap year after I graduated and was a full time nanny while also working at a restaurant. I traveled overseas during my gap year as a missionary where I ran weekly kids programming, got experience in elementary schools, and interacted Read more with local kids of all ages as we did ministry in their communities. When I was sent home due to COVID, I decided to go to Asbury University where I received a degree in secondary (5th-12th grade) English education. Each summer at home I was nannying and babysitting for families and each school year I was in different classrooms getting experience for teaching. While in school at Asbury, I also worked at the student center as a stewardess, was manager for their intramural sports programs, served as a chaplain, was president of a World Gospel Mission ministry on campus, was sponsor for the a freshman class my senior year, and continued to maintain a 3.8+ GPA while having fun with friends, serving in my local church, and dating my now husband! After graduation I took a job as an 8th grade English & Language Arts teacher at West Jessamine Middle School where I specifically taught a writing class with over 150 students in and out of my room daily. I finished my first year in May 2025 and with moving and getting married I am looking for a job to continue to love on and care for kids in a new way!
