First thing I want to say is that I do have a background check that I can share with you, I just already had it done and didn’t want to pay for another one through this site. On to the more interesting things. I have always loved working with kids, the toddler and infant age is my favorite but I love working with older children as well. I am a certified nursing assistant and a certified lifeguard as well. Along with those I am certified in CPR Pro, First Aid, and oxygen delivery. I watch kids in the nursery at my church and babysat frequently. Recently I have been working in a nursing home for the elderly but have been ready to get back to taking care of children.   Hello! I am a seasoned mother of four who just located back to the area from Chicago. I began watching children in my home 13 years ago and have cared for children aged six weeks and up. I have a bachelors degree in sociology and have a true love of children. Even at a young age, you could find me in the church nursery and then babysitting. Until we moved up to Chicago in 2018, I ran in home daycare from my home in Northern Kentucky. I am still in contact with most of those families to this day. Now my oldest three are in school full-time (I have a four year old still at home until next year) and I am eager to start caring for little ones again. We are a fairly active family, preferring to through play, as well as engagement outings to the local storytime, zoo, aquarium, and museum. We love, listening to music, reading books, utilizing tactile play and stimulating their senses in an age appropriate way. We try to spend a little bit time outside each day, whether doing walks, hand-eye coordination, or simply enjoying and exploring nature. As the children I care for grow older, we spend time on crafts, baking, and all sorts of fun, hands-on activities that help them grow into thriving young beings. I have experience with OT activities and have potty trained numerous children as well as working on learning those skills necessary for Kindergarten readiness (when the time comes!).
