Pamela Humphrey Work History/current employment  I have worked in the area of mental and behavioral health for many years. I began my career in May of 1999. Working with CYS the youth division of Rescare. Our job duties were to supervise and aid the clients with their daily living duties.  We housed Children with developmental delays and well as ODD, ADHD and autism as well as other mental and physical disabilities.  We also did testing for drugs passed medication and we documented the daily development of our client's.  Groups were conducted each day on drug use letting go of the past and we helped the clients learn coping skills to deal with daily temptations to use drugs or loss of self control.   Employment history Sunrise children's services a nonprofit organization that provides treatment and placements for at risk youth all over KY. We have residential programs and therapeutic foster care Read more for all ages of youth.   I stared working at the Glendale center in Nov 16th, 2010.  Currently and am the shift leader on first shift.  Duties are to provide a safe environment for all of our clientele.   My duties include supervision of the clients daily living skills, pass medication provide drug screen when needed.  I also provide instructions to the staff I am in charge of and the clients as well.  We are here to help assist them in making better choices for the future redirect negative behaviors.  Help them set and maintain their goals.  Provide group therapy and help them learn from the past.  We also provide a structured environment for them to learn from past behaviors, assess themselves and find other avenues to express and conquer anger depression and opposition to authority.  Skill set Knowledge of medications  Effective communications with clients and staff.  Knowledge of diagnosis and de-escalation skills Teamwork Following instructions Working with people Being a team player.  I am a fast learner and open to change. Supervision of others Special Awards In 2005 I was given the Honor of being selected to become a member of the Kentucky Colonel for my work with individuals with drug and alcohol addictions oppositional and defiant disorder developmental delays, physical mental and behavioral problems Education  I graduated fort Knox High school in May of 1995.  I began at WKU after high school I did not earn my degree.  I am returning to WKU in the fall of 2017-2018 to complete my degree in interdisciplinary studies.
