Hi! My name is Autumn and I have been working with children for the past 11 years! I started off in high school, volunteering as a teacher’s assistant for a local elementary school, and continued on and off through half of my university career. I have worked as a babysitter, tumbling instructor, and lead teacher for infants, pre-toddler, toddler, preschool, and school aged children. My paid experience totals about seven years, but total experience working with children totals to about 11. My most recent job experience is with school aged children at a before and after school care center on a military installation. I am currently finishing my degree in Physical Education with a concentration in Health Education. I have experience with working with all ages and various abilities. I am experienced with working with children with emotional and behavioral disorders and children on the autism spectrum, specifically toddler, preschool, Read more and school aged. I am experienced with handling food allergies and managing medication. I am CPR and AED certified. In my spare time I like to take tumbling classes, go for walks, and go to the gym. I am a Brazilian jiu jitsu practitioner and I mainly train for fun and self defense. I truly enjoy being active and I spend a lot of time moving around if I have the chance. I like planning activities for my students that really get their minds and bodies moving. While relaxation and rest are very important, I believe intentional movement is important for a healthy mind.
