I began babysitting my younger brother and children in my neighborhood when I was 12 years old and continued babysitting through college. During college, I worked at the Midway College Early Childhood Center with children ages birth to 5 years. Fortunately, I was able to babysit for many of the families on weekends as well. The experiences I gained from the Childhood Center helped prepared me for my role as an elementary school teacher. I greatly enjoy teaching and caring for children of all ages. Their enthusiasm and spirited personalities are contagious. I volunteer in the Children's ministry at Southland Christian Church each weekend and believe investing in the lives of the next generation is our greatest responsibility and one that is very rewarding. Last summer I served as the Director of the summer program at The Frankfort Christian Academy. I planned activities for 20+ children ages 5-12 from 7:30 Read more a.m. - 5:30 pm Monday through Friday. We played board/card games, rode bikes, played in the sandbox, had water games, played learning games on the computers, had Bible lessons, and watched Disney movies. Every minute was full of fun! I am a non smoker and certified in CPR and first aid. Your child(ren) will be safe and have fun while in my care. We will read stories, play games, and enjoy the sunshine. We will eat healthy meals and snacks because I have seen the results of too much sugar in the classroom. In order to be consistent, I will follow your rules and discipline techniques.
