I’ve always loved being around kids — it’s kind of second nature to me. I’m an education major, so working with children is something I do both in and out of the classroom, and I’ve had lots of hands-on experience through school clinicals, mentoring, and helping care for my younger siblings (ages 5 and 13). I really enjoy building trust with kids, keeping them safe, and making sure they’re comfortable and having fun while their parents are away. I’m patient, dependable, and good at staying calm when things don’t go exactly as planned. I’m also a Resident Assistant, which has taught me a lot about responsibility, communication, and looking out for others. I have training through my program, including Kentucky Early Care & Education Orientation and Pediatric Abusive Head Trauma awareness, and I’m comfortable helping with routines, homework, playtime, and bedtime.
